More MLB Offseason Transaction Fantasy Impacts
The final part of our 2 day look at this years major offseason transactions. Andruw Jones, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers - Jones is coming off a very poor season and moving to another pitchers park. We don't expect him to improve too much, but if he can get his home run total closer to his usual amount, he will be a worthwhile late round pick.
Projection: .260 AVG, 35 HR, 5 SB, 70 BB, 90 R, 110 RBI
Delmon Young, OF, Minnesota Twins - The talented former #1 pick will move to the Twins where we expect him to improve upon the numbers he put up in his first full season last year.
Projection: .300 AVG, 15 HR, 10 SB, 30 BB, 80 R, 100 RBI
Dontrelle Willis, SP, Detroit Tigers - He had a bad season last year but moving to a different league usually works out well for the pitchers. Because the Tigers have a very good lineup, Dontrelle should pick up a lot more wins as well.
Projection: 220 IP, 18 W, 12 L, 150 K, 4.00 ERA, 1.40 WHIP
Torii Hunter, OF, Los Angeles Angels - The angels like to steal a lot of bases so his steals total should improve while his other numbers stay in the same area.
Projection: .280 AVG, 30 HR, 25 SB, 40 BB, 100 R, 100 RBI
Aaron Rowand, OF, San Francisco Giants - This is a worse lineup and homerun park than Rowand has played in before. His numbers will suffer because of the players around him, but may still be worth a very late pickup.
Projection: .280 AVG, 20 HR, 10 SB, 40 BB, 70 R, 70 RBI
